The IRIS Award is granted for outstanding fundamental or clinical research performed in the field of veterinary nephrology. The IRIS Award is given to support the research of a younger, up-and-coming scientist.
The award of €15,000 funded by Novartis Animal Health has been granted annually since 2000 (every two years from 2006) and is designed to encourage nephrology research. The award winner is also funded by Novartis Animal Health to attend the ACVIM & ECVIM Congress to receive their award and present an overview of their research.
